What is this all about?

I guess all blogs are expressions of vanity to some degree of other, and this one is no different. I like to tell friends about the latest bit of techie stuff I am into or have come across, and this blog serves this function admirably.

My primary reasons for running this blog are:

1. to natter about technology stuff that interests me
2. to provide some support and advice for my clients on matters such as business software (e.g. should I continue using IE6?!)
3. to write up some guides on using various bits of Open Source software to achieve great results at zero cost and without requiring a degree in 21st Century Rocket Science

One additional reason for running this blog is to feed back some traffic for my main website www.jtcomms.co.uk with luck this will help to boost my web search results!
