Their may be many advantages in using web based systems depending on the nature of your requirements. For some it may be the way employees located at multiple geographical locations can all access the same dat in real time. For others it may be the security that comes through encrypted web access with individual user accounts. Online systems can also be better for cloud-based data storage and backup.
